Christian
Education
Our
Sunday School offers Christian Education to children of all
ages.
- We have four Sunday school classes for children 3-18.
- We have a confirmation class for our teens that meets on
Sunday afternoons.
- We offer Adult Bible classes scheduled at different times
throughout the year.
Worship
Our Sunday morning worship is at
10:00 AM. All are welcome.
We also have a contemporary
worship at 9:00 AM.
- We have acolytes who are
trained to bring Christ's light into the sanctuary.
- You may have heard our church
bell as it is rung before and after worship. That bell calls
all to worship and beckons all on their way into the world with
the Good News. The bell and 17 pews were given to us by the
Enfield Massachusetts Methodist Church in 1930, when that town was
covered with the Quabbin Reservoir.
- The people of Faith United
Methodist Church are given the opportunity to participate in
worship by reading Scripture, being greeters and ushers,
participating in the Youth or Senior Choir, being an acolyte, and
being part of a rich community of faith.
Mission
Our Church through its mission
actively supports efforts to reach out to the global, national and
local ministry needs. Some of our activities have been and
continue to be:
Globally
- We have sponsored a child
through the Pearl S. Buck Foundation
- We have collected items for
health kits and school kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee
on Relief)
- Our children "trick-or-treat"
for UNICEF.
Nationally
- We support the Rural Missions
projects with gifts, funds and people to go to South Carolina in
the Spring.
- We annually contribute to
Habitat for Humanity.
Locally
- We support a young adult in a
rehabilitation facility with gifts and cards.
- We cook and serve meals for
Loraine's Soup Kitchen.
- We sponsor a local blood drive
for Mercy Hospital two to three times a year.
